Call 911 Jesus

February 20, 2017

In case of an emergency, do you call 911 Jesus? I know and understand how so many people will call friends and family for help. I’ve made this mistake, more than once, only to find they can’t help me. Jesus had to be my first priority for help.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6 NKJV

In the bible, there are individuals who needed Jesus but He was surrounded by many people and it was difficult to get his attention. Millions of people call 911 Jesus every day, but there’s room for you. I remember hearing a song called, “There’s room at the cross for you…” This means no matter how many people enter the kingdom, there’s still room for you.

God is very interested in answering your call. I noticed when I would go to certain people they would betray me with personal information that should have remained confidential. This is why it’s so important to keep things private with Jesus. He won’t use painful information against you. He will help you change the situationꟷ creating a healthy environment in your life.

“I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.” Psalm 118:5

I believe the loss of help from humans is the very thing that’s causing people to abuse drugs and alcohol. There comes a time when we all have to accept people are people and even the most brilliant psychiatrist can have a nervous breakdown too. People are seeking perfection in humans that doesn’t exist. Thank goodness the Lord is perfect in all His ways.

Also, we need to accept the fact people don’t feel your pain. Blind Bartimaeus called Jesus so loudly the people told him to quiet down. The people couldn’t understand his cry:

“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.

Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”

And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.    Mark 10:46-52

Call 911 Jesus, even when people betray you and don’t understand your pain. Accept the lack of perfection from people and trust the Lord. He is ready to help you.
